Before Your Stay
If you intend to use the hot tub
- Please follow the payment instructions sent following settlement of the balance for your stay
- Obtain medical advice if you are or might be pregnant, or if you have heart disease, diabetes, low or high blood pressure, or any serious illness
You may want to tell friends / family / work that you may not have mobile signal (particularly if you are not on Vodafone)
You may want to pack...
- Items for the stove, if you think you might use it - matches, firelighters, kindling and logs [or you may want to buy these on the way - the petrol station at Newby Bridge, 20 minutes before the lodge, sells these]
- Swimming costumes, flip-flops and bath robes / dressing gowns if you plan to use the hot tub
- Sundry items - toilet rolls, kitchen rolls, foil, cling film, washing liquid / fabric softener (if you think you might use the washing machine), soap
You may want to book a restaurant table for weekend evenings
- We know that the Church House Inn at Torver and Steam in Coniston get busy
- You may want to book your taxi beforehand - phone Alan on 07977 148730, he has a minibus and offers good rates for Crake Valley guests
You may want to pack some DVDs or download some programmes
- There is free wi-fi, but fibre / fast broadband hasn't yet reached the Lake District!
